A 9-petal Vesica Star pattern
Chante Esti is a South Eastern Cherokee expression that means"Single Eye of the Heart" It was designed by "Earth Symbol" artist, Alex Champion and laid out in Nov. 2000 as part of The Art Line Project.
This pattern lies at the edge of the prairie and can be walked in addition to the Prairie Labyrinth. It is contained within a 55 ft. circle of sand. The pattern is defined with base quartz crystal gathered from Coleman's mine in Jesseville, Arkansas.
It is adapted from one of Michelangelo's architectural achievements called "The Campidoglio". This site was once the symbolic center of ancient Rome.

A statue of Mary was placed in the center to honor the Divine Feminine and to represent the Universal Heart. Transformation can only happen through our willingness to go into our hearts . In this design, all the pathways revolve around and lead into the heart or the center.
Unlike the single path of the labyrinth, Chante has a continuous path.The layout allows you to choose the direction you wish to walk- left (clockwise) or right (counter-clockwise) will take you through all of the vesicas or petal shapes. At any point you may step off the path to be in the center.
Labyrinths and designs like Chante Esti are natural "release and renew circles". Many come here to examine and release old limiting patterns and to recharge their internal batteries. By moving our bodies and minds through a larger pattern that exemplifies balance, harmony, beauty, and order we can align with our true essence with renewed clarity and purpose. Following the path is a way for people to step out of the chaos and demands of their lives to reconnect with their internal rhythm and innate wisdom.
